There are instances where logos designed for now will need a redesign later to keep them current, costing businesses and companies more as they would need to hire another designer to recreate the job in a different design style. Take a look at the iconic McDonald’s golden arches—since the fast-food chain’s establishment in 1955, their logo hasn’t changed much. Lastly, logos should be versatile. A good logo can be used in a variety of ways, styles, and situations. Even the best-looking logos are not necessarily good if they become illegible or unrecognizable. Traditional photos may pixelate when resized, but vector files are more built to be scaled.


Lastly, the ability of a logo to stay versatile depends on its simplicity. A logo with a complex design and intricate details simply wouldn’t do well in projects where it has to adapt to whichever surface it lands on. Therefore, a simple logo is automatically a versatile logo on its own. Remember to focus on staying more by doing less.
